What's Up With The Downloads

Posted on August 23, 2016 at 5:55 AM

As many of you may have noticed, we have quite a few optional download and mirror links on our software pages. This has been done to increase reliability and uptime on our download links. It's a kind of triple redundancy being implemented to protect and ensure that our software is always available for download. So if you find that one download link does not work, please try and use one of the other available mirror links.

We have and are still suffering many DDOS { Distributed Denial Of Service } attacks on our website from time to time. This usually causes our whole website to go down or become completely unresponsive and very slow to load. Many of these attacks come from the East, like Beijing China, Hyderabad India, and various sites in Pakistan. { Twice from Montreal Canada, and few times from San Francisco USA }

So to counter these attacks, I removed all native download links from our website domain, and moved them to our cloud account and also added third party mirror links from other partner sites. I have also added download landing pages to our first download link eg. "Download 1", to prevent continuous download scripts from crashing our website. I assure you that these third-party links are completely reliable and safe to use.

We currently have two partner sites, DownloadRoute and MajorGeeks. Our cloud account comes from OpenDrive, all their links are from a secure server that implements the SSH protocol to ensure private and secure downloads.

Use our mirror links and other optional download links. They are all very secure and safe to download from.
