Windows 10 S, will it be Microsoft's undoing?

Posted on May 3, 2017 at 5:40 AM

Microsoft has just released a new version of Windows called Windows 10 S yesterday. This new version of Windows 10 will become the new standard default operating system on all new laptops, Surface Pro products and even Desktop PC's.

Why should this concern you at all? Well, let me explain their new business plan...

Microsoft first created Windows RT a few years ago to try and counter Google's Chromebook taking the education and low end Tech market and to create a so called walled garden {Vendor Lock-in} where the users are restricted to only use Microsoft's own software from their new App store.

This was to counter any competition from third-party software developers and to increase their sales and income from a captured market, that means users spending money only on Microsoft's software and services.

This venture however collapsed last year and Microsoft was forced to cancel this whole project, as users were to smart to fall into this trap.

So now here we go with Windows 10 S...

{ Windows RT 2.0, with just more spyware and lock down build-in from the start. }

This so called new operating system has been locked down completely to prevent any outside software, WIN32 applications, to be installed or run that does not come from Microsoft's App Store.

If you want to install or run any WIN32 software, you are now blackmailed and forced to "upgrade" to Windows 10 Pro before you are allowed to do so, at a premium.

This means that Microsoft has just killed of any free choice from computer users who have bought or downloaded software from third-party software developers{ WIN32 Software }. This also creates quite a predicament for third-party and independent software developers.

They have now completely been ousted from the Windows Ecosystem unless they comply with Microsoft's demands and rules and submit their software to Microsoft's App store. But this will only happen if their software has been subjected to Microsoft's rules, regulations and licensing restrictions imposed by Microsoft.

This means that if Microsoft does not like your software or deems it to be competition to their own products and software, then you are out, as simple as that.

So this is the final blow to software freedom and competition on the Windows Operating system!

I guess Microsoft's new business plan is this...  Thou shall not share profit or market space with the enemy...
